Blissful Sleep

I think I’ve made it obvious in the past that one of my favorite things to do on my day off is sleep.  And, if I’m not sleeping, I like to lay in bed and watch t.v. or movies and not move.  The reason for that is because I have spent a little extra to make my bed and the room as comfortable as possible.  My bedroom is like a sanctuary, a place that I can escape from all the drama in the world.

Because I am special, I make sure that I indulge a little bit and get quality, wonderfully textured bed linens from incredibly soft comforters to high thread count sheets that just allow you to melt when you lay down.  Further, I make the bed look as inviting, to me, as possible with soft, dreamy pillows and throws and soothing curtain colors.

I also ensure that the lighting in my room is mellow, not harsh or too bright but a soft light with a decorative lampshade that matches the curtains and the bed spread or the pillows.  Plus, to ensure complete privacy, I do blinds and curtains and then complete the ensemble with a beautiful rug.

Just to add icing to the cake, I like to have a fountain up on a shelf with the water trickling.  The bedding, curtains, lighting and the sound of water can lead me, gently, in to a deep sleep so that when I wake up in the morning, I am well rested, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to go.

Doesn’t that sound fabulous?  It does to me.  So, I think what I’ll do is tell you to go visit terrysfabrics.co.uk/ and get started making your own little dream world; where worries and stress cannot penetrate and then?  I’m going to bed.  Good night, kids.
