Buy Stock In Popcorn

Oh LORD I haven’t had this much fun in ages!  I’ve been all over the internet yesterday, late in to the night and this morning and I can’t believe all the blog fodder out there.  In fact, I’ve decided that instead of placing these under my “political” or “personal” or even “opinion” categories, I’m going to start placing this gold mine under my “fun” categories.

Here’s one of my favorites thus far today:

“Sarah Palin is against polar bears!”

That was stated as a reason not to vote for her.

LOL!

This may be updated later on as I read more absurd comments by those freaking. out. on the left.  I’d like to thank the hysterical left for giving me so much to post about this weekend.  (Kids, there’s much more below this post....read and enjoy.) At this rate, I’ll have enough posts to last you guys for a week...which is good if Ike takes the northern part of the cone at a 4 category as it was back up to, AGAIN, this morning.

Until the next update, kids....

[update] That didn’t take long.  Now, stung by the backlash, the far leaning hating left is saying it’s not that Palin has kids and should stay home and bake cookies, NO!  That’s not what they were saying!  They are upset with her because she returned to work, “too soon”, after having her 5th child.  Moms?  Got that?  In the future, it would be wise of you to get written permission from the far left before you leave your infant to go back to work.  Too bad their stand is all bullshit:

From the American Academy of Pediatrics:

"In the United States today, more than half of mothers with young children work [emphasis:  mine], compared to about one third in the 1970s. Working mothers are now the rule rather than the exception. [emphasis:  mine] Women have been moving into the workforce not only for career satisfaction but also because they and their families need the income.

...Some people still think that a “good mother” is one who gives up work to stay home with her children. However, no scientific evidence says children are harmed when their mothers work. [emphasis: mine] A child’s development is influenced more by the emotional health of the family, how the family feels about the mother’s working, and the quality of child care. A child who is emotionally well adjusted, well loved, and well cared for will thrive regardless of whether the mother works outside the home. [emphasis:  mine]

A mother who successfully manages both an outside job and parenthood provides a role model for her child. [emphasis:  mine] In most families with working mothers, each person plays a more active role in the household. The children tend to look after one another and help in other ways. The father is more likely to help with household chores and child rearing as well as bread winning. These positive outcomes are most likely when the working mother feels valued and supported by family, friends, and coworkers....

...A woman’s decision to return to work must take into account her own needs as well as those of her family. If you are considering returning to work, try to delay your return until three or four months after your child is born. Doing this will allow you to get to know your child and let her get to know you...” (published 06/07)

Suck it, lefttards.
