Dogs Love To Work
Many of my readers are dog lovers so I’m probably going to be preaching to the choir here on a lot of points but I’ve noticed in my life time that there are a lot of people who just do not understand dogs very well. Sure, they love dogs and they want dogs but they haven’t the slightest idea how to train dogs. It’s why a certain person from Mexico is now making a lot of money by training people to understand dog behavior.
Quite often, those who opt for larger dogs have a tendency to think about protection and how their dog can keep them and their property safe. Training a dog is a lot of work and it requires someone who knows what they are doing and can spend the time necessary. Some people try to train their dogs on their own and of course dogs do have a natural instinct to protect their pack but again, if you don’t know what you’re doing, the training may not work out as well or not at all. Further, having a dog trained by a professional means will not only save you and your dog time, money and grief, (growing pains I call them), but the training works as it is supposed to work. Also, unfortunately, there are people out there who think that abusing their dogs to make them mean will make the dog a better protector.
Nothing could be further from the truth. You do not want a confused or mean dog to protect you. You want a well trained dog who is good with other animals, all members of the family including children and will be docile unless the need actually arises.
Something else a lot of people don’t understand about dogs is that dogs were bred for various reasons, various jobs. Dogs like to work. Dogs like being given a role besides rug potato. It gives them a viable and important role in the pack while you maintain the alpha role.
Command Control K-9 has a great selection of protection dogs. These dogs can go through four different levels of training, depending on your needs. They are given obedience training, protection training from simple security alert to full on attack mode if you are really threatened.
Level 1 training is a well behaved and socialized dog good with your other pets or your children. Level 2 training includes all training from Level 1 as well as protection for big threats; the dog will bite anywhere on the body that you tell it to bite. Level 3 includes Level 1 and 2 training and also includes targeting the weapon hand, (knives, guns, bats, whatever), and can take on multiple attackers. Level 4 training includes all other levels and has custom control. You can come up with your own words that the dog will respond to so that your attacker will not be able to fool the dog and call it off. Choose other commands besides “release”. Use a different language if you want. The dog will only respond to you. Plus, as an added bonus, the dog will relieve itself on command in your yard. Now, I’ve had a dog and that right there would be worth every penny even if she learned nothing else. The Level 4 dogs will also learn things like “down-stay” under a desk despite what may be going on.
Again, having dabbled in training my own dog, that “down stay” with massive distractions is not always easy, especially if you have a dog who wants nothing more than to please you but also isn’t trained by a professional. I’m not a professional. I may have done pretty well with the training I did give my dog but these four levels are things that the average human just doesn’t know how to do properly, including myself.
The site offers quite a few breeds including German Shepards, (hurray!), Dutch Shepard and the Belgian Malinois. All very beautiful dogs and dogs that protection comes to naturally. And frankly, if someone wants to break in to your house, a burglar alarm is not always a good deterrent. More and more, criminals are learning how to bypass these alarms. But a dog, a dog that has been trained to protect? It is extremely rare that a person has the ability to control such an animal that it does not own or know. Most criminals are going to choose other, more easily accessible homes to rob or people to hurt.
Now this company is extremely picky about the dogs they choose. Only 1% of dogs are chosen and they are only purchased from people who have hand raised their dogs. They do not buy from wholesalers or, as I call them, backyard breeders. You will have a top quality dog. You may choose puppies or you may choose adult dogs, depending on your desire.
These dogs come with an unconditional guarantee. If two veterinarians state that the dog has a genetic problem that would prevent it from living a healthy life or doing its job correctly, (including the hip and joint issues that come with shepards if those issues arise within 2 years of your purchase), the company will replace the dog with another of equal or greater value. Now that is one heck of a guarantee. I don’t know too many places, trainers or breeders who offer that kind of a guarantee.
If you need or want a dog that can help you find lost objects, protect your children, do an article search, protect your home and family or even your business, consider getting a dog that is chosen carefully and well trained.
Knowing that your dog has your back, so to say, brings insurmountable peace of mind. They also bring you a lot of affection and companionship. Shepards and Malinois are gorgeous, intelligent, quick learning dogs who want to work.
I love German Shepards and I want a dog that I know without a doubt, will protect me. And the levels of protection these dogs bring is incredible. Prices are rather fair when you consider just what you are getting for the dollar.
Don’t waste another day worrying about yourself, your home, your property, your business. Get a trained protection dog.
