Who:  Channel 4 News in Miami

Subject:  Car crash that killed three children

Problem:  The reporter started the story thusly-"Two parents are left to pick up the pieces after their three children were killed in a read end collision last night.”

Really, now, you couldn’t find any other way to say that?  And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the headline that went with the photo?  “Family Torn Apart”.

Kids, am I the only one who sees something wrong with those wording choices?  I like to think my readers are intelligent.  Please don’t make me explain this one to you.
