Home Improvement
I have a confession to make. I have moved. I am still in Miami and I still work where I work but I’ve also managed to get in to something that is WAY cheaper than any place I’ve lived in my adult life and, in a way, it’s mine.
Something happens to you when you have your “own place”. You start to improve it. You start to add things to it, your personal touch, little things that make it your home. Recently on my new place I had to add a new window. While I don’t have to add new windows anywhere else, the one that I did replace looks so nice that I’m contemplating doing the same in three other areas.
If you live in the UK, take a look at Anglian Home Improvements. They’ve been in business for over 30 years and can take care of your new windows for you. You can have casement, tilt and turn or sash windows, depending on what you like. I promise you, new windows can make a lot of difference.
Or perhaps your kitchen is a little dank and dark. Curious as to what the previous owners were thinking when they picked those cabinet colors? Counter tops peeling or damaged or just plain ugly? Go to the Anglian Home Improvements website and start designing your dream kitchen. You can even grab some great accessories and cabinet handles while you’re there. And anyone who knows anything about homes knows that one of the first things people look at in your place is your kitchen.
Even if you’re thinking of selling, you need to bring up the value and update it. You can get lovely new French doors to bring in more light, conservatories, (greenhouses) for the yard, cobble driveways, roof trim and gutter shields, neat, clean looking garage doors, heck, garage conversions for that matter, (turn it in to a living space and rent it out and then take that rent money to pay for all of your other home improvements).
When it comes to homes, appearance is half the battle. When your home looks good, you are happier, the neighbors don’t complain and if you want to sell, you will make a great return on your investment.
