Milk Is Expensive

You see that white cat in the header?  Yah, well, she needs to go out and get a job.  Would you like to know why?

Yesterday, I was at my computer, (my new laptop, for those of you following along), surfing away, looking and reading and just enjoying my time off.  At one point, I got up to make some food.  While my back was turned, the punk cat decided it would be a great idea to try to steal what little, tiny bit of milk I had left in my glass.  Standard size glass, teensy bit of milk left.

And she proceeded to knock the glass over.  And that little, teensy amount of milk that was left?  Spilled on to my keyboard.  Not a drop landed on the table or the floor.  NO!  It all went on to my keyboard.  The amount was equivalent to one last swallow.  And that was all it took.

I quickly shut off the computer, turned it to drain the few drops of milk out of it and let it dry overnight.  But now, only the top two rows of keys work...the numbers and the qwerty row.  The next two rows?  Nope.  Son of a bitch.

Thankfully I still had my old keyboard from my old computer so I hooked that up in to the USB port but now I have to take this in to some computer repair person and hope they can fix it.  Thus far, other parts are working but I know computer repair people charge a lot.

That is why this cat needs to get herself a job to repay me for the damage she has caused.  Unless someone out there has a brilliant idea.  It was non fat milk so hopefully because it’s so watery, there won’t be too much damage....hopefully.

That glass of milk will cost me what, a couple hundred dollars?  Fantastic.

Thanks cat.  This is the gratitude I get for the last 10 years?
