Oh And One More Thing
When, exactly, did this nation become such pussies? When did we turn that corner on to the street of, “There’s nothing you can do about it, that’s the way it is now, so just accept it”???
Many moons ago, a group of people decided they weren’t going to accept it. They decided to sacrifice and try something to change their situation. Rather than sit around and piss and moan about their lot in life, they got up off their asses, came up with a plan, gathered things together, moved, started something new, fought and fought and fought again for it so that they could have the life they wanted.
Today? We have a bunch of pansy ass candy suckers who sit on their backsides complaining, mouth breathing all over their keyboards and monitors, whining at the office water cooler but never actually doing anything to change their present situation.
In the four years that I’ve been carrying on here, I’ve written anecdote after anecdote discussing the very topic of getting up off your ass and trying. Have I succeeded in everything? No. But damn I sure have tried. And I will never regret a thing because I at least tried. Perhaps those messages were missed along the way? Perhaps no one got the point when I wrote about the job that never paid us overtime? Perhaps no one got it when I moved from Seattle to Texas and then to Florida? Perhaps it went over heads when I kept at it with the car, kept at it with the work, kept at it despite all the damn obstacles thrown up at me?
We have been given great gifts in our lives and all we can do is bitch and cry about how it’s not to our liking but can’t be bothered to move our behemoth asses to make changes.
Once again I’m sacrificing a lot in order to make my life better--I’m trying. Will this work? Probably but I also know that sometimes things don’t always go according to plan. At least I’m trying. We do not have to sit here and accept these small jabs at our freedoms, we do not have to accept “that’s just the way it is, it’s always been like that” because it has NOT always been like that. A bunch of sissies allowed it to become that but it can be stopped.
It’s enough. It’s time for people to stand up, find their backbones and act like they give a shit instead of carrying on and on about how much this sucks, how much that sucks, how this is bullshit, we are being lied to, we are being used, we are being screwed, we are being oppressed, we are being whatever complaint you can think of.
It starts with the small things. The small, every day, ordinary things. If you are one of those who states, “that’s just the way it is, nothing can be done about it”, then just go shoot yourself in the face right now because your life is not yours.
Thank GOD our founding fathers didn’t have that same mindset.
I have had it with rude, smarmy, snotty, stupid, whiny, yellow bellied bitches. Grow a pair or sit down and shut the fuck up.
