Put It On My Card
As most of you know, when you have no credit, it’s worse than having bad credit and no one wants to give you anything. You should have, at the very least, one credit card. But which one do you choose? It seems companies are always sending you stuff in the mail but their deals, when you read the fine print, aren’t that great after all. If you live in the UK and you have no credit cards, Mint is a good place to go.
When I’m looking at credit card deals, I look for no annual fee and a low percentage rate. Mint credit cards offer both. You should never pay an annual fee for a credit card and unless you have extraordinarily lousy credit, there is no reason to pay a high percentage rate. Mint also offers great bonuses such as no interest on balance transfers for 13 months, 0% interest on purchases until April 2008--after that up to 56 day interest free period on purchases, 24 hour customer service, online services, mobile services and text services.
Depending on your credit, you can apply for a credit line up to 7500 pounds. That’s a LOT of money and if you have an emergency, that can help quite a bit. You also receive online fraud protection, use wherever MasterCard is accepted and you get some extra Mint perks as well.
Those perks include: free travel service and if you use your card they waive the 2% fee, savings on particular products and retailers and you also get to be a part of wine club. The wines are shipped directly to your home and you receive invitations to tasting events.
That’s not bad for one little credit card. I don’t know about you but I’ve never had a credit card do all that for me. Mint also offers loans and home and auto insurance. If you do not have a credit card or need a better credit card and you live in the UK, get to their website and apply. Credit, if used wisely, is a very good thing.
