Remember Dewey

Awhile back I brought to your attention the story of Dewey, the little dog who had been drowned after the criminals attempted to cover up the crime with a fake burglery.  The real story is that the nasty hag who killed this dog thought that the dog was coming in between her and her relationship with her then boyfriend.  Later I posted again about Dewey and asked those of you who cared about animals and were sick and disgusted with animal abusers getting off with a slight slap on the wrist, if convicted at all, to sign a petition so that the murderer of this dog....and yes, it is murder people, would not just be charged for breaking and entering, that she would also be charged for animal cruelty.  Many of you signed the petition and I thank you.

First of all, here is a photo of Dewey:

And here’s the photo of the bitch and her bitch accomplice.  I’ve never wanted to hit someone so hard in all my life.

I’m bringing this case to your attention again because I know I have new readers, first of all, and second, since there are readers who live in Maine or nearby, I’m helping to spread the word about the upcoming trial for the spawn of satan and her accomplice.  The first trial date is Feb 28th, 2005 and the second is for March 14, 2005.  If you live in the area and you want to physically show your support to prosecute these two, stop by Another Chance Animal Rescue for details.  If you are unable to make it due to distance or time, please, if stories like this anger you, please sign the petition.

It is high time that animal abusers get theirs instead of us shrugging our shoulders and stating, “That’s terrible!” It IS terrible and there are far, far, FAR too many cases of animal abuse across this country.  Do you want to get a real good idea of just how much goes on?  Go to Pet Abuse and start looking.  And remember, these are just the cases where the people got caught.  Let’s not forget the thousands and thousands of abuse cases that are never solved.  You’ve all heard the stories of kittens stuffed in a bag and thrown into the river.  You’ve all heard the stories of pet owners tossing their dogs on the side of the freeway because they couldn’t handle being a pet owner anymore.  Time to stop talking about it and start taking action.

I wanted to know what my niche was a long time ago....this is my niche.  Animal welfare is what I deeply care about.  And don’t even bother getting all uppity with your animal rights activists are freaks and thinking I’m a PETA lover or supporter because you’re just going to piss me off.  I said, Animal WELFARE!  Do not confuse what I care about and believe in with what some of the members of PETA do.  Do not belittle the hard work of many who work their backsides off to help protect and rescue abandoned, abused and returned pets by implying that they are whack or throw out how you like the taste of cow, more meat please, the bloodier the better.

Spare me.  I eat meat.  I have worn leather in the past.  I know some of the products I use are tested on animals.  I am not here to talk about those things.  I am talking about animals that are abused, capice?  I’ve tried on the political hat, I’ve tried on the gossip columnist hat, I’ve tried on the diary hat and while I had some fun with each one, this is what I want to try to educate people on.  This is what I want people to understand and start caring about.  I can’t change anyone....I just hope that you’ll listen and learn something and maybe, just maybe, you’ll take something away from it.
