Rodentia
I’ve had a lot of pets in my lifetime and one species I’ve had a plethora of, is rats. I’ve had well over 20 rats over the years because they are one of the most amazing animals I’ve ever encountered. They are highly intelligent, very affectionate, rather loyal if you treat them right, funny.....so, so funny...little sassy things they are, and they have the most amazing athletic abilities.
Twenty-one white rats have competed in the 19th annual Xtreme Rat Challenge. The event, formerly known as the Rat Olympics, was held at the Nebraska Wesleyan University in the US.Hundreds of people turned out to see the rodents compete in five events - hurdles, long jump, rope climb, tightrope walk and weightlifting.
I miss my rats. I miss their little whiskers and their little feet, their inquisitive little noses and the way they jump around and spin their tails when they are really happy. The day I move out of here into my own place once again, I’m getting more rats.
