Sign Of The Times
Had to go to Wally World yesterday...ugh, I hate going there. It’s like someone has rounded up every piece of trash human and flung them inside the doors. Yesterday it wasn’t too bad....but it was still eye roll worthy.
Anyhoo, the point is, as I was checking for something else, I decided to look at the ammunition since it was in the same vicinity. Keeee ripes. Massive empty slots where boxes of rounds should be. Now, according to the author of the piece below, that’s because we have been storming the stores and going insane. Well, I do agree that people are worried. I think there is some wariness, perhaps in some cases out and out fear going on because of the new overlord but I don’t think it’s because people are insane and out of control. I think it’s because they are planning ahead.
If you tell someone a hurricane is coming, then that someone better plan. If you are told a hurricane is coming, you can see the indications that it will be here and you do not plan, then you are an idiot. These people are merely planning for the hurricane that’s coming out of Washington.
Of course the 9mm rounds I need were out of stock. In fact, the only ammunition I saw was for the 12 gauge, (nothing like a good ol’ shot gun to keep them thar trespassers offa mah lawn!), and lo and behold!!!!! the .223.
And I confirmed that they do indeed come in boxes of 20. Not 1000. TWENTY.
Who would have guessed.
Anyway, yes, all the other ammunition was gone. I mean, for guns to protect and such. You can skeet shoot until the cows come home if you want to, though. They had plenty of that stuff.
Next weekend I think I’ll take a trip up to the gun shop I picked my gun up at in January. See if they have any ammunition left. And if so, I’ll storm the counter and buy more boxes. Apparently this stuff is getting really hard to come by and when that happens, prices go way up.
Damnit I wish I would have bought stock in Smith and Wesson a few months ago when it was really low. Think I’ll be doing a check of the finances and stock market prices here soon. I think I’ll invest in Duracell, Energizer, S&W, some non perishable food item type companies, that sort of thing. As time goes on, these may turn out to be lucrative.
Then again, that hag, screecher of the house, wants to take from our investments, too. Do I buy stock or not? Normally I would say now is the perfect time to do that but with these assholes in the White House and Congress, I don’t know the right answer anymore.
