Snap!
So last night I did this really weird thing in my sleep. Let me preface this little story by telling all of the new people here that in May of 1999, I was in a car accident that completely messed up my spine. While I won’t go through all the details all over again, I will tell you that my spine was knocked out of place by 1/2” at the neck and 1/4” at the hips and it is because of this that I have been going to a chiropractor ever since.
Well, I haven’t been to one since I’ve been in TX and after 10 months, my spine was killing me. Until last night that is.
Ok, back to the story: So I’m sleeping and I don’t have the foggiest idea what I may have been dreaming about but I woke up to find my hands around my neck, palms up under my jawline and I was pushing up, into the jawline. Before I was completely conscious, I heard a ‘pop’ and physically felt one of vertabrae...well, pop.
When I would go to the chiropractor, although they did this rather differently, the lifting up under the jaw and adjusting was one of the ways they would adjust my neck.
But I’m not a chiropractor and when I heard and felt the pop, I was fully awake as I scared myself wondering what the hell my hands were doing around my neck and why was I trying to yank my head off?
However, today my spine feels good! It hasn’t felt this good in a long, long time. While I’m thankful for that, to be honest, I’d prefer not to go around in my sleep adjusting vertabrae even though I am kinda glad it happened.
On a side note, I think I’m about to start my mosquito bite count as the numbers are becoming appalling. And I swear I’m the only one in this state who is being eaten alive. Must eat more garlic.
