Stuffing Your Stocking Early

One of the biggest complaints I hear from people after the holidays is how broke they now are.  (The other is about how much they ate.) The holidays are the time for sharing and giving and I understand the desire to see someone’s eyes light up when they open that fantastic gift you gave them but you just have to shop wisely.

Now I know that a lot of people make fun of that little old lady coupon clipper but the thing is, she has the right idea.  And with a lot of shopping being done online, we don’t actually have to clip coupons, we just have to find them.

Once again, I am here to help you out.  Have any of you heard of a little site called couponchief.com?  This is the site to go to before you go shopping anywhere.  You can find coupons for all kinds of merchandise and you don’t have to worry about whether or not they are still valid.

For example, I can fill Serenity’s stocking with all kinds of goodies with a PetCo coupon code and choose between either free shipping when I order over $50 worth of toys for that spoiled little thing or 10% off of orders for $45.  With the money I saved, I can also buy toys and supplies for the stray that I am probably going to end up adopting because I’m a big, fat sucker for these little, mischievous felines.

Sure, sure, there are others to consider, yes, yes, I know.  I don’t make it a habit to buy gifts for people and I’m not close with the family but the rest of you are.  You can get mom and dad nice new luggage for their upcoming travels, get your brother the latest CD or DVD, get grandma a nice plant from an online nursery or browse around online clearance sales.  Sister might like some bath products…trust me, girls love those bath gift baskets…as long as it’s not received from a Secret Santa exchange at work.  The point is, kids, just about anything you can think of, couponchief has a coupon for it.  And with all the money you’ll be saving, you can buy yourself a gift this year.

For my Christmas gift to myself this year, I’m going to buy a ring so that I can quit getting hit on.  Through couponchief I can get a 3 CT quartz and diamond 14K white gold ring for only $145 using Diamond.com deals.  Do you realize the value in this?  Not only does it look really nice, that money will be well spent as I will not have to endure the uncomfortablness of the whole issue.  I won’t have to be put upon to reject someone even though I was minding my own dang business in the first place, I won’t have to talk to those that are on the seedy side and I won’t have to answer the question, “Do you have a boyfriend?” and the inevitable follow up, “Why not?” I will avoid the whole freaking mess.  That’s going to be a great gift.

This year you don’t have to break the bank to make your friends and family happy.  Just shop wisely.  Use those coupons and save wherever you can.
