Thank You, Aretha

So let me ask you....if you are crossing the street and you make a beeline for someone; no matter which way they step, you step that way so that you are right in their path, they stop, you bump their shoulder and say, “What up, Boo?”.....does that ever work for you?  Has anyone ever stopped and said, “My knight!  How shiny your armor is!  There you are!”??????

I have decided that 2007 is the year of Respect.  I am done with those who disrespect me.  I am a wonderful, smart, bright, giving, loyal, patient person with a hell of a lot of potential to be even greater and I’ve had enough of people treating me like shit.  Granted, I’ve allowed it but I’m not doing that anymore.  If you can’t see my character, my person, my spirit, my soul; if you can’t be bothered to give me the respect you ask for, then I’m through with you.

I will no longer sit back and allow anyone to walk all over me, talk crap to me, use me as their passive/aggressive punching bag or use me.  I’m done.  I know who I am.  If you don’t want to be bothered to see that or learn that, then I have no time nor room for you.

Have a great year everyone.  May you find strength within yourself not to let anyone treat you poorly.  You do not deserve it.
