Ah The Weekend

So it’s the weekend and you’ve been surfing the internet, reading blogs and journals, playing online games, writing product reviews, etc.  Your chores are done, errands have been run and it’s too early to start drinking.  It’s too cold outside and you don’t have the funds to go anywhere, good G-d you’re so bored, what are you going to do to pass the time?

While I could offer a plethora of suggestions, (read, write, tend to your studies, work out..whatever), sometimes you just want something new.  Sometimes you just want to see what everyone else is doing or what’s going on in their lives.  Fear not dear readers, for I am here once again to assist you through this.

Got something going on in your own personal life?  Feeling like this particular situation sucks in a major way and everyone else seems to be happy and content with their own lives?  Ha!  Think again.  At Group Hug you can spend hours upon hours reading the anonymous confessions of people all over the world.  Some people admit terrible things they have done, some talk about a current problem they are having and some just want to try to impress everyone else by boasting about something they did.  You are not allowed to respond nor does anyone know who is writing what but you can find some disturbed and troubled people on this site.  After a half an hour or so, your troubles will seem like nothing and you can have a much better weekend.

Ok, don’t give a damn about anyone’s personal problems?  Those fricken wankers need to seek therapy and quit their whining because they don’t know how bad you got it at work?  In fact, you think your job sucks so bad and if only you were allowed to fire some of your co-workers and/or management team, things would be a lot nicer around the office, right?  You are not alone.  Cubic Hell is a site where once again, anonymous posters, only recognized by cube number, spill their guts about their trashy co-workers or dumb ass supervisor in addition to bitching about customers.  Some of these people create their own problems which makes their complaining highly entertaining and some of them have it so rough, you’ll realize your job is actually pretty decent afterall so that when Sunday night rolls around, you won’t be dreading Monday.

“Boo-hoo!” you say to yourself.  “Waah, waah, waah.  None of those morons know when to shut up and quit pissing and moaning.  Look damnit, I said I was bored and the very last thing I want to do is listen to someone cry about what life hands them.  In fact, now I’m angry.  I want to fuck with someone.” I have heard you and I have the solution.  Just Letters is a site that will cure your evil tendencies.  Remember those refrigerator magnets of the alphabet we had as kids?  Well they are back and you along with thousands of other people can move them about the screen to spell out words.  But remember, you are not alone on this site.  While you are moving letters around, so are other people and you can spend half an afternoon messing up someone elses attempts.  Great fun!  It’s not educational, it’s not going to exercise your mind and it’s not necessarily all that productive.  But it’s fun to take letters away from people over and over and over while they try to accomplish a spelling.

You’ve reached this paragraph and have concluded that none of these are your cup of tea and are getting ready to click off this site even more bored than you were when you got here.  Patience Grasshopper!  Remember the movie Karate Kid?  Well, I won’t be asking you to wax on, wax off but I do have a game for you that I know you have all secretly tried when given the opportunity.  Don’t lie.  However, since it isn’t often that you have chopsticks in your hand while a fly is buzzing around your face, you haven’t had a lot of practice.  Until now.  Chopsticks is the Karate Kid game.  You control a pair of chopsticks and attempt to catch the flies and place them on the fly paper.  Oh, it doesn’t sound good enough for you?  Try it then hot shot.  Let’s see what you got.

Don’t say I never gave you anything.
