Animal Welfare
So, you have all heard by now that Roy of Siegfried and Roy had his throat torn open by a tiger he was using for the first time in his show. Any of you who do know me know that I am very active with Animal Welfare. (This is NOT to be confused with PETA or ALF!)
I do NOT agree with the animals being used for exploitation one iota. There will be more on this subject later on because that post will take some time to write. In the meantime, I would like to bring your attention to this story:
This Is The Result of Animal Exploitation
This is only a small sampling of what happens when animals are exploited for entertainment purposes, made to do tricks to give them “human” characteristics. Yes, a great life! I’m sure this tiger and alligator thoroughly enjoyed their time in this apartment instead of being left out in the wild where they belong.
Yes, lets parade them around on stage, chain them, and force them to perform tricks all for the pleasure of the audience. Oh, isn’t it silly and cute? Then they get to go back into their cages when the show is over. Yes, what a wonderful life for them.
Again, there will be much more on this later. This is just the TIP of the iceberg.
