How Bad Do You Actually Think It Is?

I’ve been saying for awhile that if Texas secedes and becomes its own country, I would move there.  I like Florida.  It’s pretty and I LOVE the ocean.  I don’t need to go far for vacation because I live in a vacation spot.  I don’t think I’ll live in Miami for a long time because...well, I think I’ve made clear just why I wouldn’t stay here but Florida itself is a fricken cool state.

Having said all of that, what I see going on in this country and the potential for things to turn disastrous, Florida’s coolness and beauty may not be able to keep me here to suffer through it all.

So, my question is:  If Texas seceded, would you move to Texas?  If yes, explain why and how long it would take you.  If no, explain why.

Now, if you said, “no”, what if I threw in to the mix that Texas would keep its borders open to American citizens for a period of two years before closing them off and making everyone enter as if entering any other country, would you move there?  If yes, explain why you would now as opposed to your previous answer.  If no, explain.

Finally, let’s say Texas secedes, you have two years to make up your mind and this country continues towards a downward spiral of socialism as the Democrats decide to tear up the Constitution and make up their own rules, first being that people can serve unlimited terms in office.  This would be followed closely by nationalized health care.  Would you then move?  Explain your yes or no answers.

I know a lot of people read blogs while at work so since this is the weekend, I’ll keep this post at the top.
