Update Oh. My. GOD! Watching C-Span and I have now heard one of the STUPIDEST arguments for this reform. Rep. Lynn Woolsey of California, (Kool-Aid much?), actually said, and I quote:
”...no group of Americans needs (the reform) more than women who face discrimination and insult at the hand of the broken status quo every single day. We all know that the current system allows insurance companies to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions. But I wonder how many of my colleagues realize that essentially being a woman IS a pre-existing condition."

Update Or a Bingo card. Place a marker and drink for every “Single Mom” card, “Small Business” card and “Old Person Living Alone and Can’t Afford Their Medicine” card along with the “Think of the Chiiiiiiiiiildren” card. We could have had prizes. And one hell of a hang over tomorrow.
Update Welp. We’re fucked. 34 Dems voted NO, 178 Reps voted NO for a total of 212 total NO votes. FUCK! Four fucking people away. FOUR fucking people just screwed this country. There were 219 yes votes, all Dems. Four fucking people.
