Rescuing Pets From Katrina Aftermath
***This post is dedicated to cmw because cmw thinks that anyone who cares about the rescue of thousands of pets in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina needs to “grow up”.***
I just got done watching an interview with the head of the ASPCA Disaster Relief rescue organization and he stated that rescuing the pets has greatly improved efforts to evacuate the humans out of the city. You see, many, many people were not willing to leave their pets behind but now, thanks to the donations of kind hearted and caring people from all across this country to various animal welfare agencies, shelters for the animals are being set up and the people know that they will be reunited with their beloved family members once again.
cmw must have burst a blood vessle upon hearing this news.
Many people are under the impression that the animals can fend for themselves. Interesting theory considering the fucking place was flooded with water that grew toxic.
Here are some dogs taking care of themselves now:

Wow! Look at all that fresh drinking water! Check out the abundance of game for them to hunt and eat!
Edited to add: You can rescue BOTH humans and animals at the same time and here’s why:
You have people trained to rescue people. You have animal welfare agencies volunteering their time as well, who are trained to rescue animals.
It is done at the same time by two completely different organizations with completely different training and NO, it is not always as easy as going in and plucking someone off their roof or an animal out of a yard.
Further, many people have plenty of money to donate to both causes. They have enough to give $100 to the Red Cross and they have $100 to give to animal welfare agencies…so there shouldn’t be any more confusion about this matter.
Now here are some people who cmw thinks need to grow up:

For the rest of you who have a clue, you may donate to:
ASPCA
Noah’s Wish
The Humane Society
If you wish to donate to local animal shelters in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama or Texas, one of the above organizations should be able to help you out. As I said before, for many, their pet(s) are all they have left. Think about that, cmws of the world and you grow the fuck up. (Seriously, though cmw, I must thank you for the laughs. Everytime I see footage or discussion in news papers, online news organizations or on t.v. talking about the relief efforts for the animals, I think of you and your snotty little comments and fall over into hysterical laughter. My only wish is that you see all the stories and have yourself a stroke as you grow more and more angry with everyone who has a heart for the four legged critters.)
