So Which One Do You Buy?
What is the best way to get people to come to your store or company and buy your products or services? In this day and age, it is still by word of mouth. Word of mouth is the best, all time best way to keep customers and gain new ones.
In the olden days, (barely two decades ago), we would have a great experience and tell all of our friends about it in letters, on the phone or in person. Now we have reviews from people all over the country or world and we can make judgments, based on those reviews, whether we think the product or service we are looking at is worth a try.
Some people out there clearly do not understand the value of a product or service review but most people do understand. Almost any online store will have product reviews, there are several websites that give reviews or commentary on services available in your area, even about landlords and management at apartment complexes.
We have so many choices these days and it can seem overwhelming when faced with these choices...which one do we pick? Will I be disappointed? What if it doesn’t work, does the company have excellent customer service and a great return policy? Will I be ignored by my landlord if I have a termite problem? What web hosting company should I use? Which knife sharpener works the best? Does this product really do what it claims to do? Are these housekeepers honest and should I hire them?
For example, say you are lonely and decide that you are going to take the plunge and get in to the world of online dating. Which one is the best? Which one gets the better results and which one has nothing but a bunch of losers? You can find reviews on top dating sites to help guide you. Dating is nerve wracking enough, make sure you pick the right place to go and makes things easier on yourself.
You can also find companies whose soul purpose is to test and review products and services. Sites such as Consumer Rankings are going to be as unbiased as you can get. If a product or service gets a great review from that site, chances are, you are going to have a great product or receive great service.
It really does come down to relying on other people’s opinions and while some people out there don’t get that, I have never been steered wrong for reading the reviews, from good to bad. I can get an idea of what to expect and what problems I may encounter. Sometimes you find out that the bad reviews are simply user error and sometimes you can learn from those user errors. Sometimes the product is just bad and those reviews can save you time and money.
You can find product and service reviews all over the internet from every day people to sites that focus totally and completely on reviewing products and services. If you want to know which one to pick, read the reviews. It is new age word of mouth and it still works, just like it always has.
